Timeless Sivananda Tradition
Sivananda Yoga, rooted in the ancient tradition of Hatha Yoga, seamlessly integrates physical postures (asanas), breathwork (pranayama), meditation, and relaxation techniques to promote holistic well-being.
Founded by Swami Sivananda in the early 20th century and further popularized by Swami Vishnudevananda, Sivananda Yoga emphasizes physical fitness, mental focus, and spiritual harmony.
At Yoga By Romi, we incorporate the foundational Sivananda asanas into our classes to offer an authentic and enriching yoga experience. Each session begins with a calming practice—relaxation in a comfortable posture with a tranquil and brief meditation, followed by fundamental pranayama. We then transition into the core asanas to enhance flexibility, strength, and overall vitality. These asanas are performed mindfully, focusing on proper alignment and breath awareness to cultivate a deeper connection between body and mind.
